NEWS- Joseph Mutebile, the MP hopeful for Kabale Municipality, has announced his mission to redeem the area and restore the glory of the National Resistance Movement (NRM).
While speaking to our reporter, Mutebile emphasized his commitment to bringing positive change to Kabale and ensuring that the NRM regains its foothold in local politics.
Mutebile stated that his vision is to free Kabale Municipality from the grip of the opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party revealing that the municipality originally supported the ruling NRM party before being influenced by the opposition, as seen with the current FDC leaning MP, Dr. Nicholas Thadeus Kamara.
His revelation emphasizes the unfortunate reality that Kabale residents have not fully benefited from government initiatives due to their MP’s absence from key NRM meetings, representing a major setback for the community.
Mutebile further revealed that his dedication to fostering positive change in Kabale underscores the urgency for inclusive governance and effective representation for the municipality’s development.
When questioned about his priorities as an MP, Joseph Mutebile stressed his dedication to representing the will of the people. He pledged to use a grassroots approach, allowing residents to define their needs and concerns. He promised to consult with his constituents before making decisions and to advocate for their interests in parliament.
The competition for the Kabale Municipality MP seat is expected to be intense, with prominent figures like Hon. Andrew Barayanga Aja, Niwandinda Chris Culture, retired Major General Sabiti Mutebile, Alex Muhwezi Edgar, and others also expressed their interest in the position. Incumbent MP Hon.
Kamara Nicholas has declared his intention to seek re-election for a second term.
