NRM Caucus

KAMPALA– The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Party Parliamentary Caucus has deferred the presentation of the Rationalisation of Government Agencies and Public Expenditure (RAPEX) Bills in Parliament.

This was agreed upon and is pending for another meeting with the Party Chairman Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the committees of Agriculture, National Economy and Finance, and thereafter, hold another Caucus meeting.

The Caucus convened by its Chairperson, the Government Chief Whip, Denis Hamson Obua yesterday at State House Entebbe received a keynote address and vital guidance from the NRM Party National Chairman Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Museveni anchored on the strategic importance of the Rationalisation. 

He told the Caucus Members that rationalisation is fundamentally aimed at fulfilling the NRA/M historical mission for the Socio-economic Transformation of Uganda.

The President also said that the rationalisation addresses the aspects of institutional harmony, functional duplication, overlaps and affordability.
