The Former Parliament Director of Communications Chris Obore has been granted Ugx 30 million cash bail, with court ordering him to deposit his Kiwanga, Mukono land title and passport.

His sureties have been bonded at Ugx 300 million non-cash, while all his co-accused have also been granted bail. Court warned that the property could be forfeited if bail conditions are breached.

Obore and six co-accused are facing charges of embezzlement, causing financial loss and money laundering linked to the alleged misappropriation of billions of shillings at Parliament.

Justice Michael Elubu observed that the seven applications were based on largely similar grounds and granted them bail.
