NEWS- Parents have been challenged to educate their children if they want their families to have a better future with hard working children to build their own tomorrow.
The call was made on Saturday by the Hamurwa church of Uganda parish priest Rev. Moses Turinawe while preaching at Isingiro church of Uganda in Hamuko cell, Igomanda parish, Hamurwa Sub County in Rubanda district.
While preaching during the after graduation celebrations of Barham Akatukunda, a journalist working with hope radio, Rev. Turinawe reminded parents to also think about equipping their children with skills that are offered in technical schools for their future betterment.
The man of God also challenged children who refuse to go school when they still having chances of getting school dues to repent the sin stressing that many of the important people suffered to reach where they are while some of them struggled looking for their fees themselves.
Bahram Akatukunda’s father, Edison Bakesigaki who is also the priest at Isingiro church of Uganda asked believers to always witness peace and harmony if they are to enter the kingdom of Heaven citing the increasing rate of criminality in the area.
In another development, Zone leaders have been urged to nurture, guard, and guide and be shepherds of God’s flock in their Small zones (Bakuru b’ebyanga) and churches.
Rev. Aggrey Ainemaani the curate St Paul’s COU Rubaare Archdeaconry made this call on Sunday November 19th 2023 during the Sunday service at Rubaare Archdeaconry.
Rev Ainemaani noted that it’s their responsibility to be good stewards to the flocks rather than coercion but willingly before he asked those who were entrusted with church duties to be examples to the flock because they have been chosen among the many to serve the Lord.
Rev Ainemaani also challenged all parishioners to support the zone leaders’ work for them to be served diligently and hailed the parents who normally bring their children to be baptized which is one of the recommended sacraments of the Church.
Rev Ainemaani was assisted by lay reader Amanya Edson in a service where at least seven zone leaders were inducted to serve the Christians in their communities and one child named Elnathan Rutakirwa was baptized.
