KABALE- Preparations for the highly anticipated APUULI EXPERIENCE event, scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at White Horse Inn Hotel in Kabale, have officially kicked off. The event’s organizer, Job Namanya Apuuli, a multimedia journalist with Vision Group, visited the Kikungiri PWDs Center in Southern Division, Kabale Municipality, to share the excitement.
Apuuli, who arrived in Kabale in 2011 as a student and later settled there, marrying a local, has groomed numerous journalists in the Kigezi sub-region.
Addressing journalists at the Kikungiri PWD Center, Apuuli explained that APUULI EXPERIENCE aims to celebrate his years in Kabale and involve the Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), who might not attend the main event.
“I’ve written numerous stories about the dilapidated buildings PWDs inhabit, and despite efforts, including bringing Miss Uganda, nothing has changed,” Apuuli said. “I hope that with my friends and experience, something positive will emerge to transform these structures.”
Apuuli expressed gratitude to partners and sponsors, including White Horse Inn, Aqua Finna, Pepsi Cola, media outlets, and news reporters. He also announced plans to launch the Highland Media Initiative, promoting responsible digital journalism in the Kigezi sub-region, alongside the APUULI EXPERIENCE celebrations.
The event promises to be an entertaining extravaganza, featuring DJs, musicians, comedians, and more.
Sam Arineitwe, Central Division LC3 Chairman, praised Apuuli and his partners for considering the PWDs.
