NTUNGAMO- The Bishop South Ankole Diocese the Rt. Rev. Nathan Ahimbisibwe has commended Radio Ankole for the splendiferous work done by fostering programmes aimed at social economic transformation of the communities.

Bishop Ahimbisibwe stressed that Radio Ankole is the best Radio station in the South Western region with community impactful programs which rhymes with government programs to eradicate poverty at household level.

He made remarks on Wednesday morning while praying and blessing the forthcoming Radio Ankole anniversary to mark 20 years in existence dubbed “Ekijumeero Kya Radio Ankole” scheduled to take place on 5th July, 2025 at Kyamate playground Ntungamo Municipality.

The Bishop thanked the management and staff led by station manager Elly Katahinga for the initiative of Ekijumeero kya Radio Ankole and the head of marketing madam Immaculate Kyomukama for the resource mobilization and pledged total support towards the success of the event.

The Radio Ankole Station Manager Elly Katahinga hailed Bishop Ahimbisibwe for preaching good news gospel to nourish the spirit and body which has enabled the diocese and Ntungamo district to develop.

Katahinga noted that the annual Ekijumeero kya Radio Ankole will be massive to attract listeners, politicians, business community religious and artists of all categories calling upon people to come in big numbers.

The station Accountant Immaculate Kyomukama alias Ma’ma Kijumeero revealed that as one way of giving back to the community, Radio Ankole organised the cocktail of sports activities and artists to entertain and excite the revelers.

Ma’ma Kijumeero thanked Bishop Ahimbisbwe for being a good servant of God to serve all people without discrimination and for praying and blessing the Ekijumeero kya Radio Ankole.

She noted that the entry fees will be UGX 10,000 for ordinary tickets, UGX 20,000 for VIP, table 500,000 and platinum 1M.

The Ntungamo District based first Radio station announced its 20th anniversary featuring various activities such as football, tree planting to conserve the environment alongside entertainment which has attracted both local and national artists.
