NEWS- Ampeire Steven Kasyaba, the Rubanda District Chairperson on Christmas day generously presented a speaker and a pair of microphones valued at Ugx. 950,000 to Bukombe Church of Uganda in Kakore parish and Isingiro Church of Uganda in Hamuko Cell, Igomanda Parish, both affiliated with Hamurwa Sub County in Rubanda District.
During his Christmas day address, Kasyaba passionately urged Christians to embrace innovative farming techniques, emphasizing their potential to enhance both the quality and quantity of harvests, with the overarching goal of alleviating poverty in the Kigezi sub region.
Expressing deep concern about the escalating crime rate and the decline in domestic animal rearing within the district, Kasyaba called upon religious leaders to persist in spreading the word of God, expressing hope that such efforts would lead wrongdoers to repentance.
Additionally, he pledged ongoing support to the churches and contributed an additional Ugx. 200,000 to meet the Christmas day target, underlining his commitment to fostering a thriving and secure community.
Relatedly, the Rukiga District woman Member of Parliament Hon Kamusiime Caroline Muhwezi has urged parents to prioritize Education of their children for the better future.
She revealed this while donating music system to Bucundura Catholic parish and pieces of cloth for choir uniform to Rushekyera Catholic Church and Rushekyera Church of Uganda all in Kashambya Sub County
Addressing Christians at Rushekyera Catholic Church, Hon Kamusiime showed concern on parents who have let their children become redundant in this holiday stressing that they may get un-admirable results.
The legislator further pledged a music system to Rushekyera catholic church in Kashambya which has been hiring the system stressing that the donation will now help them save the money that has been spent on the activity.
