KAMPALA- The Speaker of Parliament RT Hon Anita Among witnessed the swearing-in of student leaders at Kaboja Junior School in Kampala where she noted that their ambitious speeches reflected a promising future and it served as a reminder to parents to nurture and guide the next generation.

Rt Hon Among urged the young leaders to embrace their roles with discipline, humility, respect and teamwork which are values that will shape them into the great leaders of tomorrow.

She emphasized the crucial role education plays in developing a nation, and urged parents to invest in knowledge, which she believes yields the best interest.

While speaking at the same event, the Deputy Managing Director of National Water and Sewerage Corporation Dr Sylvia Arinaitwe who accompanied the Speaker said that education is a key driver of economic growth, social mobility and national development.

She said that it does not only enhances individuals’ access to better livelihoods but also fosters a more informed, critically thinking and productive citizenry and called for action to unlock the young generation potential especially, where education becomes a powerful tool for unlocking economic opportunities and bridging socio-economic gaps.
