MITOOMA- The Mitooma district LC 5 hopeful chairperson Twinomugisha Ronald’s life and future seems to be hanging on God’s Grace after claiming that he receives mysterious calls threatening him.
Twinomugisha Ronald Commonly known as Lord’s son on 1st January 2024 declared as he will stand for Mitooma district LC5 seat on National Unity Platform (NUP) ticket for 2026 – 2031 term.
However, this website first received claims that the youthful hopeful is receiving threats on various Mitooma district whatsap platforms before contacting him and he confirmed that it’s true he is being threatened through phone calls from unknown and known individuals.
Twinomugisha Ronald says the people who threaten him have a slogan that “we cannot allow NUP to lead our district” though he stands firm that he will contest and win promising to end segregation and improve service delivery in the district.
This situation might bring back a thinking that “politics is a dirty game” to some Mitooma voters who still did not heal the wounds caused during the 2015-16 elections that left scores parted in Mitooma district especially in Ruhinda Constituency.
However, most of them got breathing and hoping for space when Mitooma district was divided into three constituencies of Ruhinda North, Ruhinda South and Ruhinda since it reduced the election fire that was in the district.
Now, the game looks to have started early in 2024 just 2 years to the general election as for the district top seat all contenders will be having strong eyes to unseat the reknown “Kazunde fighter ” Benon Karyeija aka Boneza who is still at the helm of making district decisions.
As www.informer.co.ug we are keeping an eye on Mitooma district politics and we shall keep updating you about happening events.
