RUKUNGIRI– Youths have been challenged to ensure full utilization of the holiday time by engaging in domestic chores as well as sparing time for revision and getting rid of peer groups that might spoil their lives in future.
The words of wisdom were sounded by Engineer Angelo Twinomuhangi as he officiated at the final game of Nyakibale Parish Zaverians cup at Kasheshe Playground in Buyanja Sub County, Rukungiri District.
Eng Twinomuhangi who is eyeing the Rukungiri District Chairperson seat went on to advise the youths to safeguard themselves from contracting HIV/AIDS since it is still in existence and can reduce their ability to work for the future.
He also encouraged them to ensure saving, especially those in the working class and those in school to work extra hard to attain their desired goals in the education cycle.
The aspiring boss rallied the youths to fully engage in politics so that they can choose the leaders who will represent their needs and work on them since they have the potential to do so stressing that a country with a huge youthful population should choose leaders capable of understanding their needs and working towards fulfilling them.
“As you are well aware, age is determinant, hence a need to work hard when you’re still energetic. Those in School, study hard, the situation is getting harder every day that goes by. Those past school times, do some projects that will help propel in the current economic hardships so that you can survive” Eng. Twinomuhangi noted.
At the end of the thrilling games, Kihumuro went home with both trophies of males and females after defeating Kigaaga zone with two goals to one in the male final and 3-2 in penalty shoot outs after a one goal draw in the normal play time.
The winners went home with trophies, and cash prizes as the first runners up went home with cash prizes as well courtesy of the chief guest Eng. Twinomuhangi Angelo.
