KANUNGU- In a bid to bring Health services access to the community, Doctors Case Medicals on Saturday December 9th 2023 opened a 14 bed capacity branch in Kihihi Town council, Kanungu district.
Headquartered in Rukungiri Municipality, the facility’s Kihihi is located in Kihihi Central cell, Nzabandora Street in Kihihi Town Council and will offer outpatient, inpatient, surgery, laboratory, maternity services among others.
Dr. Marvin Kakuru acting director of Doctors Case Medicals Kihihi branch hailed the Kihihi Community for the hospitable welcome that has helped them feel the comfort in the area.
Dr. Kakuru promised that the facility will offer excellent healthcare services to the community since they are dedicated to ensure a disease free Community.
Dr. Dickson Niwasasira the Doctors Case Medicals Managing Director hailed the Kanungu district Community for the welcome promising to pay them in return with excellent medical care.
Dr. Niwasasira pointed out that they have not opened up the Kihihi branch to compete with the existing facilities but to rather complement the existing healthcare services offered in the area for the good of the community.
Hin. Tumwesigye Rodgers, the Kihihi Town council District councilor hailed the facility directors for thinking to open up this facility in Kihihi stressing that the development is a fruit of a tarmac road.
Tumwesigye asked the administrators to think about early expansion to accommodate the numbers at the facility and asked them to always update patients about their medical bills to stop collisions with patients.
Hon Tumwesigye tasked the facility administrators to live by their word especially at times of operation urging them to keep updating the patients on their bills so that by the time they are done with treating them, they are able to raise the money for the bills.
Eng Sam Arinaitwe Kajojo the Kanungu district chairman who officiated at the function hailed the Case Medicals proprietors for thinking about quality health care service delivery for the people of Kanungu.
He pledged the district support in ensuring that they serve the intended purpose.
“With the level of the state of art machinery that I have seen here, the human resource presented to us, I am sure that the facility will be able to offer quality service that has been long awaited for in Kihihi and Kanungu as a whole” said Kajojo.
The district boss also rallied the community to always visit health facilities for medical check-ups so that once the disease is detected earlier; it can be treated before it damages their bodies.
He affirmed to the community that such developments are indicators for the elevation of the town council to the Municipality status hence calling upon the community to welcome them.
