The Chief of Defence Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has arrived at the UPDF 4th Infantry Division Headquarters in Gulu where he is to assess ongoing operations in the area.
On arrival in Gulu yesterday evening Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba was received by the 4th Infantry Division commander Maj Gen Felix Busizoori and other commanders.
On his second day in the area today Monday 16th 2025, the Chief of Defence Forces has held a strategic meeting with the 4th Infatry Division Commander and Brigade Commanders who briefed him about ongoing operations in the area, particularly the ongoing operations in South Sudan and Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
The meeting was also attended by Maj Gen Keith Katungi who commands the neighbouring UPDF 5th Infantry Division
After meeting with the commanders, Gen Kainerugaba addressed soldiers involved in various operations andccongratulated those who had recently joined the UPDF, noting they had joined a noble institution.
The Chief of Defence Forces urged them to maintain the discipline that the UPDF is known for in whatever they do and also urged them to take good care of themselves by staying fit and healthy.
