NEWS- Kasese Woman Member of Parliament Hon. Florence Kabugho has broken silence and revealed that she didn’t pick the alleged 100 million that were recently given out by government.

The legislator made the revelation yesterday evening while giving her speech at the fund drive of Nyakabale Vocational Secondary School in Bwera Sub-county in Bukonzo county West in Kasese District.

On Friday President Museveni confirmed that Members of Parliament received Shillings 100 million each through classified funding.

The President, in a statement issued, said the money was used to “promote activities that help in defeating enemy schemes in Uganda” and insisted the funds served a patriotic purpose.

According to Hon. Kabugho, the money was given by government to appreciate members of parliament for supporting the coffee amendment bill that was passed by parliament recently.

She says, she didn’t support that bill because according to her it has a negative effect to the coffee farmers a reason to why she also refused to get the 100 million.

She also revealed that the same house through the prime minister is planning to handle the land and court martial bill which she also says affects the community negatively if passed as bills.
