BUSHENYI- All is looking special in Igara West Constituency as young talents have got a chance to participate in the Inter – sub county football competitions for the year 2023.
All sub counties and Town councils participated in this year’s Amanya Cohen Kyampene Igara West Inter sub – county tournament.
Igara west is comprised of seven Town councils and sub counties altogether including Kyamuhunga TC, Kyamuhunga Sub – county, Bitooma Sub – county, Kizinda TC, Kakanju Sub – county, Nyabubare Sub – county and Nkanga Sub – county.
The tournament that started on 21st October 2023 will climax on 24th December 2023 with Kizinda Tc battling Kyamuhunga Tc at Kizinda playground in Kizinda Town council.
To reach finals, Kizinda Tc football club won 1-0 against Kizinda Sub – county on Sunday 17th December at Kabingo playground while Kyamuhunga Town council on Saturday defeated Bitooma Tc with 3 goals to 1.
One of the players known as Kakoza Mbappe from Kizinda TC expressed his happiness revealing that this is the first of a kind in life since he had never got any opportunity to compete with players from the whole constituency. Kakooza is firm that Kizinda TC is in the right position to win this year’s competition.
Agaba Rodri from Kakanju sub – county said though they did not get a chance to reach finals but next time they are ready to become champions. Agaba thanked Counsel Cohen Kyampene for uniting the youths and supporting them in developing their talents.
In his words, the chief organiser sponsor Counsel Cohen Amanya Kyampene maintains that his main target is to develop the society. Amanya revealed that it’s not his first or last time to organize this tournament stressing that the Igara – West Inter sub – county tournament is aimed at uniting all the people besides their different age, religious, tribes and political denominations.
