KAGADI- The Kagadi district council presided over by speaker Magezi Muwonge has laid budget estimates of shillings over 47.24Bn shillings for the forthcoming year 2025-26 Financial year.
The budget estimates were laid on Friday by Magezi Jamadah Francis the Kagadi district secretary for Finance during a council sitting held at the URDT center for reflection in Kagadi town council in Kagadi district.
The draft budget has seen an increment of over 2Bn shillings up from the current budget of 45Bn shillings.
Magezi noted that they were expecting to meet the laid budget estimates from three major sources including Local Revenue, Central Government Transfers and disbursements from development partners.

The speaker Magezi Muwonge however, noted that the budget estimates would be scrutinized by the committees and thereafter council convenes for approving the budget.
Some of the councilors have expressed their optimism that the draft budget will improve service delivery and cater for the needs of the community if approved.
