KAMPALA- The Chief of Defence Forces- CDF General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has said that Uganda will not be led by a civilian after his father General Kaguta Museveni, who has been leading Uganda for the last 38 years.
Via his X (formerly known as twitter) Muhoozi, who is also known as a tweeting general said that after President Museveni leadership, the security forces will not allow a civilian to lead Uganda, instead it will be a soldier or a Policeman.
Now ‘some-life’ foreign journalists are going to write op-eds in their western papers saying, ‘Museveni’s son is a threat to Ugandan Democracy. Egged on no doubt by internal and foreign enemies who want to enslave our country again.’’ Muhoozi.
He added: When we were fighting for Uganda’s freedom in Teso, Lango, Bundibugyo, Garamba, Mugadishu, Juba and Bor, those ‘fake lovers’ of Uganda were nowhere to be seen. Back then for them it wouldn’t have mattered if our impoverished country was destroyed forever.’’ He added, now a prosperous nation. Fellow Ugandans, resisting the imperialists is patriotic duty!’’ Muhoozi said.
Muhoozi has also announced that he will not contest in the 2026 presidential elections. Muhoozi said that he will not be on the ballot paper in 2026, but said he will instead endorse President Museveni.
“I would like to announce that I will not be on the ballot paper in 2026. Almighty God told me to focus on his Army first. I fully endorse President Yoweri Museveni in the next election.” He added.
He added: All my millions of supporters. All the supporters of PLU. We shall all of us, as one man and without exception support President Museveni in 2026. The future belongs to our mighty God alone, and we shall triumph in his name.’’ Muhoozi noted.
