President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni yesterday met and held a meeting with the Leader of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan, Mr Ata Serdarov who represented His Excellency Serdar Berdimuhamedow at the swearing-in ceremony.
President Museveni thanked him for travelling to Uganda and asked him to convey appreciation to President Berdimuhamedow for the solidarity shown to the country.
The two leaders also discussed strengthening cooperation between Uganda and Turkmenistan, especially in diplomacy and parliamentary relations.
Serdarov thanked President Museveni and the people of Uganda for the hospitality he received during his stay and pledged cooperation between the two countries.
