NEWS- Rukungiri District Taxi Operators and Drivers Cooperative society are mourning following the death of their recently elected chairperson Milton Kamusiime, commonly known as Hajji. Hajji succumbed to a yet to be revealed scourge on Wednesday morning at Karoli Lwanga Hospital Nyakibale.
Kamusiime was elected as the Chairperson of the Rukungiri District Taxi Operators and Drivers Cooperative Society three months ago on 12th June 2024 in an election that took place at All saints Rukungiri. He replaced Silage Kabwende.
The late Kamusiime was a businessman in Rukungiri town, operating a beans store in Rukungiri central market and transport services, he had done for a longtime
According to the reports from his fellow tax drivers and operators, he has been battling with life in that he was earlier admitted in Kampala before he was brought back home and admitted at Nyakibale hospital where he died from.
Taxi operators including Mugabe Robart Rufania and association secretary Ayebare Adijah described the late Milton Kamusime Hajji as a friendly, development, hardworking and honest person, the reason to they had voted him to take up a big position in their Sacco.
They stressed that in him, they had much hopes that he would uplift their Sacco and association as Rukungiri District Taxi Operators and Drivers Cooperative Society.
As of now, the family members and Rukungiri District Taxi Operators and Drivers Cooperative Society are preparing the burial arrangements.
