Bobi Wine nears conceding defeat as his “U-Vote app” is deleted from Playstore

NEWS– It’s not all good news for the National Unity Platform NUP in the Teso sub region after a section of youths have vowed to initiate local sanctions against the Opposition Party president Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine accusing him of inciting and celebrating the UK government’s sanctions on their daughter and 11th Parliamentary Speaker Rt. Hon. Anet Among Anita.

The concerned youth held an engagement on Monday, May 20th 2024 at Hyde Park Hotel in Soroti City and resolved that the NUP President should be sanctioned in their area like he did to Among. They asserted that this in retaliation to Bobi Wine’s proud claim that he pushed the UK government to recently sanction Speaker Anita.

According to Brian Olyoko Mulonga, the Soroti City East former deputy speaker, together with fellows are currently finalizing consultations with local leaders to ban Bobi wine from stepping his foot in Teso.

“Bobi Wine brags that he visited UK and freely claims to be behind the sanctions of the Speaker, the homosexuality bill was passed by Members of Parliament not Speaker Anita as an individual, so as Teso youths, we’re going to declare a Persona Non Grata in Teso,” said Mr. Mulonga.

Mr. Mulonga also added that Speaker Anita to stand to defend the sovereignty of people of Uganda and the country at large is not a wrong decision as seen by Bobi Wine and his fellows who seem bowing to the foreign pressures.

“We as people of Teso, we’re ready to stand with our own daughter Anita not for anything else but for being strong in defending the Norms of Iteso,” added Mr. Mulonga.

Ms. Judith Akado, Soroti city Female councilor representing the people of Pioneer Ward says the pride of Iteso is marriage and producing children so they cannot accept to be ripped by the money minded individuals who are against the bible.

“We as Iteso are ready to produce children as stated by the bible between a man and a woman but not man and man”, said Ms. Akado.

Mr. Francis Erau, the Soroti city renowned businessman who doubles as the chairperson Iteso community said they are taking serious action to protest to Parliament to seek for a clear explanation concerning the UK sanctions against the Speaker.

“This must be put clear, if Anita is a criminal let them sue her in courts of law rather than disturbing her peace, we are going to parade all the streets of Teso and protest to Parliament, we cannot see our own being intimidated,” said Mr. Erau.

In the same vein, Mr. Erau called upon the Iteso cultural leader, His Highness, Paul Sande Emolot to interest himself in UK sanctions against Anita Among.
