Sheik Rashid Qattan from Kuwait commissions the Rushoroza Mosque in Kihihi Subcounty

NEWS– The Nile Cultural and Social Development Association has unveiled two newly built Mosques in Kanungu District with a call to Muslim faithfuls to ensure that the facilities are put to their proper use.

The two Mosques at Rushoroza Mosque and Kihihi Muslim Secondary School worth over Ugx 300 million were built with funding through Nile Cultural and Social Development Association headed by Dr Sheikh Bruhan Byekwaso supported by a Muslim Scholar Sheikh Rashid Qattan from Kuwait.

While speaking after the official opening of the two Mosques, Kaningu District Khadhi Sheikh Rajab Abdullah Mpabuka thanked the donor for the support and asked the muslim community where the facilities are to protect them and use them accordingly.

The chairman of Uganda Muslim Supreme Council Kanungu Sheikh Abdullah Nzigira thanked the Nile Cultural and Social Development Association for the initiative and said that it will go a long way in developing islam in the District.

The same organisation is constructing a Mosque at Katete and 7 classroom block which will be unveiled in the near future. The function was also attended by Rukungiri District Khadhi Sheikh Abdulmalik Kayole Byaruhanga.
