Museveni at Rubaga Miracle Center Cathedral

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has commended Pastor Robert Kayanja for using his ministry to promote development, production and community empowerment, particularly through agricultural initiatives in Karamoja and Kiryandongo.

President Museveni made the remarks yesterday while presiding over the Big Fix Holy Spirit Global Conference at Miracle Centre Cathedral in Rubaga, Kampala.

The seven-day conference, hosted by Pastor Robert Kayanja and Pastor Jessica Kayanja of Robert Kayanja Ministries, started from September 21st and is ending today 27th has attracted Christian leaders and visitors from Uganda, Africa and beyond.

President Museveni said he was particularly pleased by discussions at the conference around African integration and the political integration of East Africa.

He thanked Pastor Kayanja and Pastor Jessica for bringing together an international network through which people could exchange ideas and build relationships.

President Museveni guides on prosperous sermons that enlighten religious flock on means of attaining wealth for homesteads through production for both local and regional markets, and reminds religious leaders to preach the message of affluence and commended Pastor Kayanja for leading by action through his wealth creation interventions in Karamoja.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni dispels aid as a means of prosperity and calls on Christian believers to jointly pursue wealth creation and prosperity through regional markets and integration.

The President called on Christians to strategically position themselves to benefit from the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), particularly as Africa’s population continues to grow and expand the available market and emphasised that Africa’s unity, economic integration and access to a wider regional market should be a shared aspiration.

He also cautioned against restrictive trade approaches among African countries, condemning barriers to free movement of goods within the East African Community, which he said undermine regional integration, unity and economic cohesion.

President Museveni highlighted the need for Africa to strengthen its four-dimensional security capacity—land, air, sea and space—to guarantee the continent’s long-term safety and strategic interests.

President Museveni points to existing security gaps, particularly in Africa’s presence and capabilities in the maritime and space domains, calling for greater joint efforts to establish a strategic security presence across all four dimensions.

The President reminds Africans that no single country can adequately achieve this objective on its own, stressing the need for proper organisation, regional cooperation and coordinated strategies among African countries to strengthen collective security.

President Museveni highlighted key objectives of the East African Community once fully attained, which hinclude one army, one foreign policy, one citizenship, and one common market as key pillars of deeper East African integration.

He also highlighted the potential for greater competitiveness of the East African region alongside other major global blocs if the East African Federation is fully realised and called for global focus on affluence and wealth creation, stressing the need for efforts aimed at improving prosperity and livelihoods.

President Museveni called on Ugandans to embrace value addition to raw agricultural produce in order to increase returns, create wealth and maximise the economic benefits from the country’s agricultural resources.

Pastor Robert Kayanja commended President Museveni’s leadership that granted freedom of worship and ushered in ultimate peace, security and stability into the country and ending of sectarian politics.

Pastor Kayanja applauded President Museveni and the government of Iganda for the transformational story of Karamoja Sub region that is transitioning into a food basket and assured of plans to work with government on addressing some pending developments in the agricultural sector in that respect

He revealed plans to establish a Ugx 5 trillion milk project through the cow bank initiative that targets to rally hundreds of Christians to rear cows for mass milk production and called for actualization of East Africa regional market by addressing the existing impediments to its full operationalization.

The President donated Igx 2 billion to Pastors SACCOs at Miracle Center Cathedral for their socioeconomic empowerment.
