NTUNGAMO- The Bishop South Ankole Diocese the Rt. Rev. Nathan Ahimbisibwe has appealed to the general public to desist from the growing habit of betrayal and bias against their leaders among the institutions across the country.
Bishop Ahimbisibwe noted that this has crippled the institution’s main goals and resulted in unnecessary conflicts explaining that leaders are always chosen by God and should wait one season.
He made remarks today during the handover ceremony of Arinaitwe Emmanuel the outgoing head teacher of Kyamate Secondary school to incoming Mwesigye Francis in the school’s staff room Ntungamo Municipality.
The Bishop pointed out the Biblical story of Aaron and Hur holding up Moses’ arms during the battle against the Amalekites signifies support and cooperation among leaders and followers, and the strength found in communal unity.
However, Bishop Ahimbisibwe emphasizes the need for leaders to delegate responsibilities and accept assistance stressing that Moses, as a leader, relies on Aaron and Hur, showing that effective leadership often involves collaboration and support from others.
